CMSA
Radiology
Manager:
Donald Yeager, R.T.
At our independent
imaging facility, certified radiologic technologists serve patients
in two separate x-ray rooms. For patient convenience, CMSA Radiology
has its own waiting room and a handicapped-accessible dressing room.
No appointment is necessary, except for bone density testing.
Bone
Densitometry,
a test used in diagnosing osteoporosis, is performed in CMSA Radiology.
Our Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) scanner measures bone
mass with a high degree of precision. Osteoporosis is a major public
health problem, particularly among post-menopausal women. A DEXA
scan can accurately identify osteoporosis before a fracture occurs,
while there is still time to preserve bone density. The procedure
is painless and extremely safe. To have a DEXA scan you will need
to obtain a physician's order and then schedule an appointment.
