Clinical Nutrition

Patient age: 16 years and older

Dr. Jensen provides adult nutrition support interventions that entail the provision of specialized intravenous or tube feedings for malnourished patients who are unable to eat or to assimilate adequate nutrition.

Typical patients include those with:

• Malabsorptive disorders – inflammatory bowel disease, celiac sprue, carcinoid, pancreatic insufficiency, cystic fibrosis

• Motility disorders – pseudo-obstruction, gastroparesis, scleroderma, diabetic diarrhea

• Ischemic bowel

• Esophageal disorders

• Severe pancreatitis

• Bone marrow transplant

• Radiation enteritis

• High output ostomies

• Enterocutaneous fistulae

• Short bowel syndrome

• Parenteral nutrition dependency

• Bowel obstruction

• Complications of bariatric surgery

• Severely malnourished eating disorders
